Education @ VERTICON

Home / Education

Year over year, education is one of the top reasons for attending VERTICON (and our previous show, HAI HELI-EXPO). Whether you’re planning for your next work project, promotion, or job, VERTICON and event producer Vertical Aviation International will give you the tools to reach your goals.

Here’s some of the ways you can take advantage of the 100+ education opportunities at VERTICON 2025.

Elevations Courses

VERTICON Elevations courses (formerly the Professional Education Courses, or PECs) are in-depth courses taught by industry experts on a wide range of subjects important to success in vertical aviation.

  • Registration Fees. Elevations courses require an additional registration fee, but if you register for one course, you’ll receive a one-day pass to VERTICON. Register for two or more Elevations courses, and you’ll receive a three-day pass admitting you to all public events and the VERTICON show floor.
  • Schedule. Elevations courses take place on the days immediately before the exhibit floor opens, so you can focus on the course and still take in all that VERTICON offers. Courses range in length from four hours to up to three days of instruction.
  • Credits. Some Elevations courses provide credit for renewal of inspection authorization certificates, and some provide WINGS and AMT credits; see the individual Elevations course descriptions for more details.

Foundations Sessions

The VERTICON Foundations Program offers short education sessions given by presenters who have volunteered to share their expertise with their fellow vertical aviation professionals.

  • Registration Fees. All Foundations sessions are free for VERTICON attendees and exhibitors; no additional registration is necessary.
  • Schedule. Foundations sessions, most of which are one hour long, take place during VERTICON. Seating is first come, first served, making it easy for attendees to fold the sessions into their busy show schedules.
  • Tracks. Foundations sessions are grouped into tracks, so you can easily find the topics that interest you. Tracks include Career Development, Operations, Maintenance, Medical, Pilot, Safety, Small-Business Success, Student, and UAS.
  • Credits. Some Foundation sessions provide WINGS and AMT credits; see the individual Foundation session descriptions for more details.
  • Take the Challenge. Provide proof of attendance at six Foundations sessions, and you’ll receive a certificate recognizing your commitment to life-long learning in vertical aviation. See the VERTICON Foundations page for more information.

Manufacturer Technical Briefings

The VERTICON Manufacturer Technical Briefings (MTBs) provide a forum for OEMs and other organizations to present current maintenance and technical product information to aircraft owners and maintenance professionals.

  • Registration Fees. All MTBs are free for VERTICON attendees and exhibitors; no additional registration is necessary.
  • Schedule. MTBs take place during VERTICON. Seating is first come, first served, making it easy for attendees to fold the briefings into their busy show schedules.
  • Credits. All MTBs provide credit for renewal of inspection authorization certificates.

IA Renewal

VERTICON offers several opportunities for attendees to earn credit toward the renewal of their inspection authorization (IA) certificate:

  • All Manufacturer Technical Briefings are eligible for IA renewal credit.
