Why am I required to select up to ten booth preferences?

VERTICON uses a lottery system for most booth assignments. Once you are ranked by the lottery, your booth preference requests and other details of location preference are given full consideration, subject to your position in the lottery. Submitting the maximum number of booth preferences helps VERTICON Show Management assign your booth.

How many badges will I get with my booth space?

Every exhibitor receives two allotments of badges—one for staff working the booth and one for guests attending the show.

  • Booth personnel badges = exhibitor access
  • Guest badges = attendee access

Badge quantities depend on your booth size:

  • For each 10’ x 10’ (100 sq ft) standard booth: 4 staff + 4 guest badges
  • For each 20’ x 40’ (800 sq ft) static display: 2 staff + 2 guest badges

If you need more, you can buy additional badges at a discounted rate. Complimentary badges are capped at 60 per category.

Examples:

  • 10’ x 10’: 4 staff / 4 guests
  • 20’ x 40’: 2 staff / 2 guests
  • 20’ x 20’: 16 staff / 16 guests
  • Combination of 200 sq ft + 800 sq ft: 10 staff / 10 guests

How does the lottery system work for booth assignments?

IAEE describes a lottery system as “a random system of assigning space.” At VERTICON, once applications are sorted by stage and VAI membership, booths are assigned based on a randomized list to ensure a fair and impartial process.

How does VAI support its members exhibiting at VERTICON?

VAI members received a substantial discount on booth pricing, advertising and sponsorships, registration, and education at VERTICON. In addition, VAI members will be placed first in each stage of the lottery for booth assignments, followed by non-member exhibitors.

Can VERTICON move another exhibitor if they’re one of my competitors?

No. We’re happy to review requests to move your booth, but we can’t relocate other exhibitors.

Please make sure your competitor and partner companies are listed on your application and be sure to check which organizations are located near your booth during assignments and onsite.

How often should I look at the floor plan?

The floor plan changes most during Lottery 1 and Lottery 2 assignments. To stay informed, we encourage exhibitors to check the floor plan periodically and reach out to VERTICON Show Management with any questions.
Helpful times to review: August 2026, October 2026, January 2027, and February 2027.

Can I reserve a specific booth I am interested in?

No. Because VERTICON assigns booths through a lottery, you cannot reserve a specific space. You may select up to 10 preferred booths, and these will be considered based on your lottery ranking. Listing all 10 preferences is the best way to help us assign your booth.

Does receiving any communication other than the official Booth Assignment email mean my booth space is reserved?

Only the official Booth Assignment email from VERTICON confirms your booth reservation. No other communication should be considered a booth commitment.

What is the difference between Standard Display Booths and Static Display Booths?

Standard Display Booths are exhibit spaces designed for product demos, branding, and meetings and come in traditional booth sizes such as 10′ x 10′, 10′ x 20′, and 20′ x 20′. Exhibitors can order utilities and furnishings to customize the space.

Static Display Booths are larger-format exhibit areas intended for aircraft, oversized equipment, or vehicles. These spaces are in designated static display zones and have minimal built‑in infrastructure and fewer customization and build-out options.

Do Standard and Static Displays use the same assignment method?

Yes—both are assigned through VERTICON’s lottery system. They are processed in separate assignment groups depending on whether you requested Standard space, Static space, or both.

Should I choose a Standard Display or a Static Display?

A Standard Display is best for exhibitors who want strong foot traffic and a traditional booth space.
A Static Display is ideal for companies showing large-scale products—like vehicles, machinery, or aircraft—that need room to spread out.
